On May 31, 2026, officers with the Sedalia Police Department responded to the area of Third Street and Quincy Avenue in reference to a reported domestic assault. According to the probable cause statement, a caller reported observing a Black male wearing a red top strike a White female. Officers responded to the area and were advised by the reporting party that the couple had walked east through an alley from Quincy Avenue. An officer subsequently observed a Black male and a White female matching the description walking eastbound on Wilkerson Street and made contact with them. The individuals were identified as Kenneth Samuel McGee Jr. and his girlfriend. When questioned, McGee stated the two had been arguing but denied striking her. He told officers they had argued and that he had hugged and kissed her. Due to the nature of the call and observations at the scene, McGee was detained in handcuffs. After being advised of his Miranda rights, he indicated he understood and again denied assaulting his girlfriend. McGeeโs girlfriend told officers the couple had been arguing and had gotten very close to one another during the dispute, but she also denied that McGee had hit her. Officers observed several bruises on her arms and a red mark near her collarbone. When asked about the injury, she stated it was the result of rough sex. Officers then interviewed the reporting party, who stated she witnessed McGee and his girlfriend arguing and observed McGee grab her and punch her once in the neck and torso area. Based on the witness statement and the physical injuries observed on the victim, officers placed McGee under arrest. Before being placed into a patrol vehicle, McGee informed an officer that he had a meth pipe in his pocket. The pipe was recovered and later tested using a Nartec Methamphetamine Field Testing Ampule. The test yielded a positive result for methamphetamine residue. The pipe was collected and placed into evidence. The probable cause statement noted that McGee is on parole for prior convictions of first-degree manslaughter and second-degree robbery and had previous arrests for third-degree assault and resisting arrest. McGee is now charged with domestic assault in the third degree and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. On April 20, 2026, officers with the Sedalia Police Department responded by telephone in reference to a harassment report. The reporting party and the victim advised that the suspect, Dylan Brooks Clark, had been harassing them following the end of a seven-year romantic relationship between Clark and the victim. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim and the reporting party. The reporting party stated that Clark had made threatening remarks over the telephone, including statements that he was going to kill both individuals and burn the reporting partyโs personal property located near Clarkโs residence on Crestview Drive. The reporting party advised that he resides in Cole Camp but owns a storage shed in the area of Crestview Drive. The victim reported that Clark contacted her by telephone approximately 100 times. The officer requested screenshots of the calls and any messages, but the victim stated she no longer had any messages available. The victim reported that Clark told her he was going to come to her location, strangle her, beat her up, shoot her, and burn her clothing. The victim stated she was fearful as a result of the threats and had moved to a different residence, where she was staying with the reporting party. The officer later interviewed Clark regarding the allegations. Clark denied threatening to kill either individual and stated that he told them he โshouldโ do those things, but was not going to. When asked specifically what he told the victim, Clark stated that he told her he should come down there with a gun and shoot, but that he was not going to do so. Clark repeatedly emphasized that he told the victim he โshould, but heโs not going to.โ Clark also alleged that the victim had been contacting and antagonizing him in an effort to provoke a reaction. He denied contacting the victim approximately 100 times and stated that the victim called him twice and that he called her twice. Clark is now charged with harassment in the first degree. On May 26, 2026, officers with the Sedalia Police Department responded to the 500 block of W. 7th St. in reference to a physical disturbance. According to the probable cause statement, dispatch advised responding officers that Melissa R. Keele had struck the reporting party and was on the roof of the residence. Upon arrival, officers observed Keele on the front balcony roof before she re-entered the residence through a window. During the investigation, witnesses reported that Keele struck her boyfriend and later shoved another individual during a confrontation inside the residence. Officers were escorted upstairs to locate Keele. After discovering that the roof access door had been screwed shut, an officer climbed through a damaged screen door onto the roof and located Keele hiding in a corner. When officers attempted to take Keele into custody, she pulled away and resisted. During the struggle, Keele kicked an officer in the ankle. Officers continued to struggle with Keele on the sloped roof before gaining control and placing her in handcuffs. She was then escorted outside and secured in a patrol vehicle. Additional witnesses told officers they had been outside the apartment complex when they heard Keele yelling and what sounded like someone being shoved down the steps. They reported that after the reporting party left the apartment, Keele continued yelling and began throwing childrenโs toys outside. When confronted about the toys, Keele allegedly shoved another individual by the shoulder and neck. The reporting party later told officers that he and Keele were in a relationship and that she had been intoxicated and yelling for several hours. He reported that while he was playing a video game, Keele punched him in the back of the head. He then left the residence, with Keele following him downstairs while continuing to yell. He reported head pain but denied falling down steps. Keele is now charged with two counts of fourth-degree assault, fourth-degree domestic assault, and resisting arrest. On May 26, 2026, deputies with the Pettis County Sheriffโs Office responded to the area of South Grand Avenue and 20th Street in reference to a vehicle failing to yield to a traffic stop. At approximately 12:38 a.m., a deputy attempted a traffic stop on a gray Chevrolet Impala for expired registration and driving on the wrong side of the roadway while traveling south on South Grand Avenue approaching 20th Street. The deputy activated emergency lights, but the vehicle continued south before turning west onto 20th Street. The vehicle continued traveling at approximately 15 mph past South Prospect Avenue despite the activation of emergency lights and an audible siren. Pettis County Joint Communications was notified that the vehicle was failing to yield and continued west on 20th Street past South Quincy Avenue before turning north onto South Stewart Avenue and stopping in the 1900 block of South Stewart Avenue. Deputies conducted a high-risk traffic stop after the occupants were reportedly uncooperative. The driver was given repeated verbal commands to roll down the window and show his hands, but failed to comply. Additional deputies arrived to assist and approached the vehicle. The driver was ordered several times to open the door, but was observed locking the door instead. During the encounter, deputies and Sedalia police officers attempted to detain a rear-seat passenger later identified as Eustolio Martinez Morales. According to the report, Morales began fighting with officers and resisting arrest. During the struggle, a Sedalia police officer attempted to deploy a department-issued Taser, but Morales allegedly grabbed the device and disarmed the officer. The officer and Morales then struggled over the Taser, which discharged and struck the officer in the hand. Additional law enforcement officers arrived to assist and were ultimately able to regain control of the Taser and take Morales into custody. Deputies reported Morales appeared highly intoxicated and remained uncooperative until he was secured in a patrol vehicle. Morales was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for a fit-for-confinement evaluation before being taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold. Morales is now charged with disarming a peace officer, assault in the third degree, and resisting arrest for a felony. On May 22, 2026, officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to Immaculate Conception in Springfield, Missouri, in reference to a reported arson investigation. Officers observed the fire alarm sounding and noted smoke coming from the building, along with a foul smell that could be smelled in the parking lot. The officer located Door 18, observed it was unsecured, and entered the building. The interior was filled with smoke and haze. Officers entered in an attempt to locate the source of the fire, but no active fire was immediately located. While the Springfield Fire Department cleared the scene, an officer reviewed surveillance footage. The officer observed a thin white male wearing a striped shirt and baseball cap inside the building. The officer immediately recognized the individual as Isaac Cass from a prior call for service on May 21, 2026. The officer further reported that the maleโs body type and clothing matched what Cass had been wearing during the prior contact. After reviewing reports from fire investigators, officers learned from Fire Marshals and an ATF Special Agent that several points of origin within the building appeared to be incendiary in nature. Investigators identified an ignition point near a banner at the southwest entrance of the school immediately west of broken glass. Two additional ignition points were located inside the building in rooms described as the teacherโs lounge areas. Investigators observed fire damage and evidence throughout the southwest entrance area and adjacent hallways and classrooms. Burn marks were visible on the bottom of the banner near Entrance 5, and the lower glass panel of the window had been shattered. Water damage was present throughout the hallway and classroom areas. A classroom identified as the sixth-grade room sustained fire damage beneath a broken window. Concrete fragments and rocks were located both inside the classroom and outside the broken window. Blood droplets were observed near the window. Investigators also documented heavy fire damage inside rooms identified as the teacherโs lounge areas, with burned furniture, damage to books, and evidence that multiple fires had occurred within the room. Surveillance footage reviewed by investigators reportedly showed Cass approaching the southwest entrance and attempting to ignite an object beneath the banner near Entrance 5 using a lighter or similar ignition source. Cass then held the item producing flames under the banner before he used a traffic cone to strike the surveillance camera, causing the footage to stop functioning. Additional surveillance footage reportedly showed Cass walking through hallways, tearing down classroom nameplates, and kicking over a table after sitting on it. Cass entered and exited the teacherโs lounge area multiple times while smoke later became visible near the ceiling. Video footage showed Cass carrying books into the room and throwing papers into the area while smoke was present. Cass was also observed damaging a framed picture, knocking over a cart containing school supplies, and pulling a statue identified as a statue of Mary to the floor, causing it to break. Investigators reported that two additional statues of Mary outside the building had also been damaged. Exterior surveillance footage reportedly showed Cass running out of the building toward a playground shortly before returning toward the structure. Following Cassโ arrest, officers conducted a post-Miranda interview with him. The ATF Special Agent assisted with the interview. Investigators stated that Cass initially provided short responses before eventually indicating that he had โlit something on fire.โ Cass stated that he observed โmessed up ritualistic shitโ that had upset him and claimed he โbroke in.โ Cass admitted throwing a rock through a window to gain entry and stated he looked back at the fire after setting it. Cass made additional statements regarding religion, the church affiliated with the school, and references to โMaryโ and the teacherโs lounge area. Cass also stated that he had hoped the fire would be extinguished before growing larger but also indicated he hoped the school would burn down completely. When asked how the fire was started, Cass stated he had used a lighter that he had since lost. During booking procedures at the Greene County Jail, officers reviewed clothing seized from Cass and compared it to surveillance footage and the officerโs prior body camera footage. Investigators determined that the striped shirt, pants, and body type shown in the surveillance footage were consistent with Cass and the clothing he was wearing at the time of his arrest. Investigators further reported that Cass described himself as homeless during the post-Miranda interview and indicated that his closest relatives lived in Neosho, Missouri. Investigators also stated that Cass made several comments expressing negative views toward the church associated with the school and indicated he targeted the location because itโs affiliation with the church. Officers reported concerns that Cass posed a continuing danger due to statements he made regarding his motives, references to going โall inโ in future actions, and behavior observed during the incident and interview process. Cass is now charged with arson in the second degree and burglary in the second degree. During the forensic interview, the 14 year old victim, V1, reported that the first time something happened with Likes was when she was 11 years old, when she was in the 6th grade. V1 advised during this incident at their residence in Fulton, Missouri, Likes provided her alcohol, and she was really drunk and kept blacking out. V1 said Likes hurt her private area, indicating her vag*na, and that it hurt worse the following day as she had never done that before. V1 reported the pain was caused by Likes putting his โd*ckโ inside her while holding her wrists down. V1 stated she could not get Likes off her, and she could not even move herself. V1 further reported having marks on her wrists after the encounter and that it hurt to pee or wipe. V1 reported Likes assaulted her a couple more times from August 2022 to January 2024, when V1 was 12 years old and moved. V1 reported that while driving to the store, Likes grabbed the back of her head and pushed her head down to his genitals so she would perform oral sex on him. Likes reportedly had her by her hair and was moving her head up and down, and it only stopped after he finished. V1 further reported that during another trip to the store, Likes stopped in a sandy area and parked while it was dark. Likes proceeded to open her door, pull her legs out of the truck, and remove her pants. V1 stated Likes then forced himself into her again and stopped after a few minutes. Likes then proceeded to drive to the store, where V1 remained in the car and cried. V1 reported Likesโ penis is โvery smallโ and that he would provide her with nicotine products, toys, and candy. In the interview with the 8 year old, V2, she reported that when she was 6 to 7 years old, Likes showed her his pen*s. V2 reported Likes showed her inappropriate stuff that she is not supposed to see, and that it was his โwienerโ. V2 further reported that Likes tilted her head down to his hand while smiling, and thatโs when she saw him rubbing his pen*s. She reported running to her room, locking the door, and Likes chasing her down while naked and banging on the door. Likes was later interviewed by investigators. Likes admitted that he had memory of V1 getting on top of him and them having sex. Likes stated the accusations were possible and said if V1 and V2 were present he would apologize to them for any pain he caused. Likes also admitted to holding his wifeโs wrists down while they have sex, similarly to how V1 described Likes holding her wrists down. Likes is now charged with two counts of statutory rape in the first degree, statutory sodomy, sexual misconduct involving a child under 15 years old, and child molestation in the first degree. On May 21, 2026, deputies with the Howell County Sheriffโs Office were dispatched to Pomona for a sex offense. Investigators determined that a 27-year-old, Seth A. Smith, performed sex acts on a 12-year-old male child approximately 2 years prior. During an interview with the victim, he reported that Smith put his pen*s in his โbuttโ on numerous occasions. Smith later agreed to come to the Sheriffโs Office for an interview. After being advised of his rights, Smith admitted to having intercourse with the victim. Smith initially stated he put his pen*s on the victimโs butt but admitted to penetrating the victim for approximately 10 seconds before โpulling outโ. Smith stated he told the victim not to tell anyone because he knew it was wrong, followed by apologizing and promising it would not happen again. Smith also stated he touched the victimโs buttocks on numerous occasions. Smith further alluded to sexual encounters with other underage individuals but stated it โwas a long time agoโ, when he was 15 years old. Smith further told detectives that after discovering โfurry pornโ, he became interested in animals and has now progressed to children. Smith stated he knows what he did was wrong, and he deserves to be in jail. Deputies placed Smith under arrest. On May 11, 2026, deputies with the Saline County Sheriff's Office were in the area of 240 Highway and Silver Avenue when a deputy observed a dark-colored Chevrolet traveling eastbound on 240 Highway at a speed significantly above the posted 55 mph limit. Radar indicated the vehicle was traveling 79 mph. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver and sole occupant was identified as Justin Syder Ross. During the stop, Ross advised that he had recently purchased the vehicle and did not yet have insurance. He provided a Missouri certificate of title and a handwritten bill of sale. Investigators noted discrepancies in the documents, including conflicting seller information, differing sale prices, and a sale date listed as May 23, 2026, which was 12 days beyond the date of the stop. A records check revealed Ross had a valid Missouri driverโs license and was on probation for prior controlled substance and burglary offenses. Deputies reported Ross became increasingly nervous when questioned about the vehicle paperwork and repeatedly asked to be released. After being advised of his Miranda rights, Ross allegedly gave conflicting statements about when he took possession of the vehicle and its ownership history. While speaking with Ross, deputies reported detecting the odor of alcohol and observing bloodshot, watery eyes, and slurred speech. Ross admitted to drinking earlier in the day. A portable breath test reportedly indicated a blood alcohol concentration of .175. Deputies then advised Ross that he was under arrest for driving while intoxicated, speeding, and forgery. During an inventory search of the vehicle before towing, deputies located a partially consumed bottle of McCormick Vodka on the driver's side floorboard. While being transported, Ross complained about the fit of his handcuffs and became argumentative with deputies. Investigators stated Ross later unbuckled his seatbelt, prompting the deputy to pull over to the shoulder in the area of 240 Highway and Ladder Drive. Deputies reported Ross resisted efforts to restrain him, ignored commands to stop, and attempted to open the door to exit the patrol vehicle. As Ross exited the vehicle, a Taser was deployed, striking Ross in the back. The deployment was unsuccessful because the darts were too close together. According to the report, Ross then fled on foot into a wooded area nearby. Deputies pursued him into the woods, where Ross allegedly fell down a hillside after attempting to cross a wire fence. Deputies reported Ross resisted commands to remain on the ground and continued resisting while awaiting backup officers. Ross reportedly told deputies to shoot and kill him several times. A Taser drive stun was reportedly used during the struggle. Officers from the Marshall Police Department later arrived to assist in securing Ross and returning him to the roadway. Ross was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital for medical clearance following the Taser deployment. Deputies stated Ross remained belligerent with hospital staff. Investigators later reviewed patrol vehicle camera footage and reported Ross had repeatedly attempted to slip his handcuffs and remove his seatbelt during transport. The investigation was documented through body-worn and in-car camera systems, and the recordings were placed into evidence. Ross is now charged with forgery, attempted escape from custody while under arrest for a felony, resisting arrest for a felony, DWI, exceeding the speed limit (20-25 Mph), failure to register a motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. On May 12, 2026, deputies with the Saline County Sheriffโs Department responded to a residence in Slater, Missouri, in reference to a reported domestic disturbance involving Nickolas Jo Todd. According to the probable cause statement, deputies arrived at approximately 2:59 p.m. and made contact with the victim, who was described as visibly trembling and tearful. The victim told deputies she and Todd had previously been involved in a romantic relationship and were in the process of separating due to ongoing abuse. The victim stated the altercation began over property that Todd wanted from the residence. She said that after she told Todd she intended to contact law enforcement, he assaulted her by applying pressure to her neck with his arm and forcibly pulling her to the ground. Deputies documented visible injuries that included rug burns to both knees, a rug burn on the left arm, cuts and scrapes on the right arm, and redness and marks on the neck consistent with her statement. The victim told deputies she feared what Todd might do if he returned to the residence and said she was attempting to protect herself and her juvenile daughter. She further reported that Todd routinely threatened her whenever she attempted to contact law enforcement during prior domestic disturbances. Investigators stated the assault occurred after Todd learned she intended to call police, and they believed his actions were intended to prevent or discourage her from contacting or cooperating with law enforcement. Before deputies arrived, Todd left the residence and walked toward his own residence. Deputies photographed the scene and the victimโs injuries. The victimโs interview and demeanor were also captured on a body-worn camera. A records check revealed Todd was currently on bond for domestic assault in the fourth degree out of Saline County and was also on bond for a probation violation. Deputies additionally discovered that Todd had an active failure-to-appear warrant through the Marshall Police Department. Todd is now charged with domestic assault in the second degree and tampering with a victim. On May 22, 2026, deputies with the Saline County Sheriff's Department responded to a residence in Slater, Missouri, in reference to an assault. According to court records, deputies arrived at approximately 4:31 a.m. and made contact with the victim near the residence. The victim was described as panicking and crying while speaking with Central E-911. The victim stated Kaeden Lee Robinett had left the residence before deputies arrived, and his whereabouts were unknown at that time. The victim told deputies she and Robinett, who are in a romantic relationship and reside together, had been at a business in Slater earlier in the evening, where Robinett consumed alcoholic beverages. The victim stated she was asleep in bed when she awoke to Robinett striking her. During the altercation, the victim alleged Robinett placed his hand around her throat, applied pressure while pushing her against a wall, and choked her until she fell to the ground. The victim stated Robinett then damaged property inside the bedroom by punching walls, overturning furniture, and breaking a window. The victim said she was able to leave the bedroom and encountered a roommate in the kitchen area, who provided her with a cellphone so she could call 911 before leaving the residence through the back door. The victim reported injuries to her face, head, neck, hand, and right leg. She alleged Robinett struck her, choked her, twisted her right hand and fingers, threw her onto the bedroom floor, and threw a dresser into her during the incident. Deputies observed swelling and redness on the victimโs face near the right cheek and eye, abrasions and redness near the left collarbone, redness on the neck and throat area, swelling and redness on the right hand, bruising and abrasions on the left knee, and a bleeding laceration on the right thigh. The victim complained of pain in the right side of her face, neck, and hand, but declined medical treatment. A witness told deputies she heard fighting upstairs but did not witness the altercation. Deputies reported the residence was otherwise orderly except for the bedroom shared by the victim and Robinett. Investigators observed overturned furniture, boxes scattered across the floor, a broken lower window pane, holes in the walls consistent with fist strikes, and damage to a large flat-screen television. Deputies later located Robinett at a family memberโs residence. Robinett told deputies the victim arrived home after drinking and initiated an argument. He denied assaulting the victim or causing damage to the bedroom and claimed the victim caused the damage herself. Robinett stated he left the residence after contacting a family member for a ride and did not call 911 because he feared being arrested due to his prior history. Robinett admitted to consuming alcohol before the incident and provided a breath sample showing an approximate blood alcohol content of 0.05 percent. Deputies reported no visible injuries were observed on Robinett. Robinett is now charged with domestic assault in the second and third degrees. On May 13, 2026, deputies with the Miller County Sheriffโs Office responded to Highway 52 near 2212 Highway 52 in reference to a stalled vehicle blocking a lane of traffic. Shortly after arriving on scene, Woods Towing arrived to remove the vehicle. During the incident, an individual traveling eastbound on Highway 52 stopped and spoke with deputies regarding Russell Edward Yoder, who was reportedly the owner of the stalled vehicle. The individual appeared visibly upset, shaking, and speaking rapidly. The individual stated Yoder was walking eastbound approximately 200 yards from the disabled vehicle. The individual stated he attempted to assist Yoder after Yoder said he had run out of gas. Yoder became agitated and demanded a ride home. The individual reported that Yoder was armed with multiple firearms and allegedly made statements about killing law enforcement officers and sheriffs. Deputies advised dispatch and other responding deputies of the reported threats. While deputies continued directing traffic, deputies then observed a silver Ford Maverick driven by a subject matching Yoderโs description approach the scene and allegedly fail to obey traffic directions. A deputy parked their patrol vehicle in front of the tow truck, blocking the roadway. Due to the previously reported threats, deputies drew their service weapons and ordered Yoder to show his hands. Deputies stated Yoder complied and was removed from the vehicle and placed against the bed of the truck. During a search of the Maverick, deputies recovered a Walther PPQ handgun from the passenger seat of the Ford Maverick. The probable cause statement further noted multiple prior contacts between Yoder and the Miller County Sheriffโs Office during April and May 2026, including prior incidents in which Yoder allegedly threatened law enforcement officers. Deputies also stated that Yoder was known from prior contacts to possess firearms. Yoder is now charged with kidnapping in the first degree and armed criminal action.
