On May 22, 2026, deputies with the Saline County Sheriff's Department responded to a residence in Slater, Missouri, in reference to an assault.

According to court records, deputies arrived at approximately 4:31 a.m. and made contact with the victim near the residence. The victim was described as panicking and crying while speaking with Central E-911. The victim stated Kaeden Lee Robinett had left the residence before deputies arrived, and his whereabouts were unknown at that time.

The victim told deputies she and Robinett, who are in a romantic relationship and reside together, had been at a business in Slater earlier in the evening, where Robinett consumed alcoholic beverages. The victim stated she was asleep in bed when she awoke to Robinett striking her. During the altercation, the victim alleged Robinett placed his hand around her throat, applied pressure while pushing her against a wall, and choked her until she fell to the ground.

The victim stated Robinett then damaged property inside the bedroom by punching walls, overturning furniture, and breaking a window. The victim said she was able to leave the bedroom and encountered a roommate in the kitchen area, who provided her with a cellphone so she could call 911 before leaving the residence through the back door.

The victim reported injuries to her face, head, neck, hand, and right leg. She alleged Robinett struck her, choked her, twisted her right hand and fingers, threw her onto the bedroom floor, and threw a dresser into her during the incident.

Deputies observed swelling and redness on the victimโ€™s face near the right cheek and eye, abrasions and redness near the left collarbone, redness on the neck and throat area, swelling and redness on the right hand, bruising and abrasions on the left knee, and a bleeding laceration on the right thigh. The victim complained of pain in the right side of her face, neck, and hand, but declined medical treatment.

A witness told deputies she heard fighting upstairs but did not witness the altercation.

Deputies reported the residence was otherwise orderly except for the bedroom shared by the victim and Robinett. Investigators observed overturned furniture, boxes scattered across the floor, a broken lower window pane, holes in the walls consistent with fist strikes, and damage to a large flat-screen television.

Deputies later located Robinett at a family memberโ€™s residence. Robinett told deputies the victim arrived home after drinking and initiated an argument. He denied assaulting the victim or causing damage to the bedroom and claimed the victim caused the damage herself. Robinett stated he left the residence after contacting a family member for a ride and did not call 911 because he feared being arrested due to his prior history. Robinett admitted to consuming alcohol before the incident and provided a breath sample showing an approximate blood alcohol content of 0.05 percent. Deputies reported no visible injuries were observed on Robinett.

Robinett is now charged with domestic assault in the second and third degrees.
