On December 11th 2025, authorities in Sedalia, Missouri, began an investigation after the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) forwarded Cyber Tipline Report 224001910 to the Western Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force on December 11, 2025. The cyber tip was generated following alleged activity on Snapchat on November 19, 2025.

Investigators allege that a Snapchat account using the username "crashout67" uploaded three images containing suspected child sexual abuse material to a group chat. Court records state that the assigned detective reviewed the files and determined they met Missouri's statutory definition of child pornography, including one image that allegedly depicted the exposed genitals of a prepubescent child.

A search warrant served on Snapchat reportedly confirmed that the images had been posted to a group chat. Additional records, including account information, chat activity, selfies associated with the account, prior police body-camera footage, and internet subscriber information, were used by investigators to identify the account as allegedly belonging to Leif A. Rasa.

Rasa has been charged with one count of Promoting Child Pornography 1st Degree and one count of Possession of Child Pornography - 1st Offense
