On May 15, 2026, Pettis County deputies responded to the 21000 block of Highway H in reference to a possible suicidal subject. Dispatch advised that the caller reported her boyfriend, Marc R. Brewington, had come home from work, began drinking, and started hurting people around him before stating he was going to kill himself and left the residence on foot.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the victim, who appeared intoxicated and was extremely emotional. Deputies observed blood coming from the victimโ€™s right nostril, marks on the same side of her nose consistent with her glasses striking her face, and scrapes on her left elbow area that appeared consistent with a fall. When asked whether the incident had become physical, the victim initially gave conflicting responses before ultimately stating that Brewington had punched her before leaving the residence.

Deputies photographed the victimโ€™s injuries. The victim declined to provide a written statement.

On May 16, 2026, deputies made contact with Brewington. Brewington stated that alcohol had been involved and that he left the area and was later picked up by his parents. When asked whether the altercation became physical, Brewington stated it was โ€œabout toโ€ and that was why he left. When questioned about the victimโ€™s injuries, Brewington stated she fell while on the porch. Case Information
